SENTRON ECPD represents a new generation of semiconductor switching technology, with its electronic wear-free switching capability being a thousand times faster than previous technologies. The result is enhanced protection for people and electrical systems, simplifying electrical planning methods.

SENTRON ECPD also offers numerous other advantages such as sustainability, transparency, and greater flexibility. For the first time in the history of circuit protection, multiple functions can be activated or adjusted as needed within a single product, making it adaptable to various applications.

Returning to the tunnel scenario, SENTRON ECPD simplifies and conserves resources in planning, reliably handles peak surges, and provides more effective short-circuit protection through long cables. In large parking lots, using SENTRON ECPD can save around €12,000, reduce traditional circuits by 20% (from 83 to just 17), and save approximately 2,600 meters of cable and associated installation work.

Another advantage is that SENTRON ECPD can be operated remotely. Technicians can perform remote diagnostics and switching during normal operation and in the event of a fault. This is particularly beneficial for remote or difficult-to-access locations that lack on-site service support.
