A PDU (Power Distribution Unit) power socket is a power distribution manager that provides both power distribution and management functions. It is the first and most crucial component for the operation of multiple devices, and the quality of the PDU directly impacts the performance of the devices.

The PDU series cabinet socket power protector is designed based on IEC standards, specifically for the fine protection of sensitive equipment powered by single-phase AC. PDU power cabinets are used at the device end as the third level of power protection, preventing damage from transient overvoltage caused by lightning strikes or electronic interference.

The power protection lightning arrester of the PDU power cabinet adopts a two-stage series-connected protection system, with a maximum current carrying capacity of up to 20kA and a voltage protection level as low as 800V. PDU Power Rating Explanation

The rated power of a PDU refers to the total output power of all its outlets. The size of this power depends on the following key factors, ordered as follows:

1. The plug's carrying capacity ≥ the total switch's carrying capacity ≥ the external wire's carrying capacity = the internal wire's main line carrying capacity ≥ the total overload protection's carrying capacity ≥ the total output socket's carrying capacity ≥ the PDU's rated power.

This means that if the carrying capacity of any single point in the above key factors increases, it will not increase the rated power of the PDU. However, if the carrying capacity of any single point decreases, it will cause the rated power of the PDU to drop to the smallest value of the carrying capacity of any one of these key points.


Relationship Between PDU Output Socket Forms and Rated Power:

When using a PDU, you may encounter situations where the device plug does not match the PDU socket. Therefore, when customizing a PDU, it is essential to first confirm the form of the device plug and the device's power. The carrying order is as follows:

PDU output socket power = device plug power ≥ device power.

· Universal socket: Corresponds to the CCC10A Chinese standard plug; South African 6A plug; Italian 10A plug;

· US standard 5-15P plug; European standard 10A plug (without grounding);
