Understanding the Differences in FWH and FWP Fuse

Time:2024-09-10   Author:As Beam   Browse:

Bussmann FWH and FWP series fuses are high-speed fuses primarily used in the protection of DC common buses, power converters, rectifiers, and DC drives. The different suffixes (-A, -B, -C) in their part numbers indicate variations in current ratings and country of origin.

Busmann FWH Fuse:

FWH-A fuses cover current ratings from 225A to 1600A, and they are produced in Mexico. The lead time for these fuses is around 14-16 weeks.

FWH-B fuses have current ratings from 35A to 200A, also manufactured in Mexico with the same 14-16 weeks delivery time.

FWH-C fuses are rated from 35A to 800A, and are produced in China. These fuses have a faster delivery time of 4-6 weeks.

Bussmann FWP Fuse:

FWP-A fuses offer current ratings from 125A to 1200A and are manufactured in Mexico with a 14-16 week lead time.

FWP-B fuses cover lower current ratings from 5A to 100A and also come from Mexico, with a similar 14-16 week lead time.

FWP-C fuses have ratings from 35A to 600A and are made in China, with a 4-6 week lead time.

In summary, the suffixes indicate variations in both the current rating and the manufacturing location, impacting delivery times. FWH-C and FWP-C series are produced in China, resulting in shorter lead times, while the FWH-A/B and FWP-A/B fuses, made in Mexico, have longer delivery times. These fuses are widely used in DC charging stations globally, and customers can choose the most suitable option based on their specific needs.
