Basically, it is a high voltage positive battery terminal fuse which explodes and disconnects the electrical connection irreversibly to avoid short circuit or fire
when a car gets into accident or crash. The positive terminal coming out of battery is disconnected the same second, car is crashed.

Pyrofuse can cut off the power supply in a short time to reduce the probability of danger;
In the battery system, the power supply refers to 12V lead-acid battery or high-voltage battery.

Pyrofuse's technology is not new, but it is a new application in the battery system.
It comes from the ignition method of automobile air bag, which inflates the air bag by means of gunpowder explosion.
The pyrofuse we are talking about uses this ignition method to disconnect the copper bar and acts as a fuse or relay.
