PKZ2/ZM-40/S-SP Eaton Motor Protective Circuit Breaker

The PKZ2/ZM-40/S-SP is a 3-pole, 40 A motor protective circuit breaker configured as a manual motor starter. It integrates overload and magnetic trip protection in a self-protected design compliant with UL 508 and CSA 22.2 as a Type E combination motor controller. The unit comprises the PKZ2/S-SP base module with built-in contactor, the ZM-40-PKZ2 overload relay (adjustable thermal range: 32–40 A), and the C-PKZ2 DIN rail mounting adapter. Magnetic trip occurs between 350 A and 500 A. Motor rating support is up to 15 HP at 230 V and 30 HP at 460 V. Auxiliary contacts, phase-loss protection, and a plug-in trip module are included. No external overcurrent protection devices are required.
